In the early morning hours of October 25, 1983, the United States invaded the island of Grenada. The initial assault consisted of some 1,200 troops, and they were met by stiff resistance from the Grenadian army and Cuban military units on the island. Heavy fighting continued for several days, but as the invasion force grew to more than 7,000, the defenders either surrendered or fled into the mountains. Scattered fighting continued as U.S. troops hunted down stragglers, but for the most part, the island quickly fell under American control. By mid-December, U.S. combat forces went home and a pro-American government took power. The new government however would not last for long.

Nine months after the American Forces left Grenada a revitalized Grenadian Communist Insurgency (GCI) backed by Cuba and Russia began to seize control. Pro American government officials and military leaders were assassinated. The GCI in one coordinated massive attack regained control of the Island over night.

Russia not only backed the GCI with weapons and supplies but ordered the take over to be led by a Spetznaz Task Force. Russia’s intent is to turn Grenada into a communist state loyal to Moscow. America has been asked to retake the region once and for all. Both sides know the force which controls the Salinas Airfield controls Grenada. The future of Grenada will be determined as two Super Powers struggle for victory in the Battle for Salinas!

Field fee:

1. Prepay - $37.50. Prepay period is February 16, 2008 - April 12, 2008 at 11:59pm.
(Pre-pay is Pay Pal only)

2. At gate - $45.00

3. Camping is available for $5 per night per person.

All players must check in, register, pay and present personal Red Dead Rag at the gate prior to entering the field. All players must sign and submit Young Waiver and T.E.A.R.S Safety Acknowledgement.

Minimum age is 17.

Note: Players 17 years of age must have the Young Waiver and the T.E.A.R.S Safety Acknowledgement notarized by game day and submitted on game day only if a parent is not present to sign on game day at the registration table.

This event will feature multiple simultaneous insertion points and multiple simultaneous objectives with time specific game play. Even though this op is objective driven we’ve carefully balanced trigger time with multiple timed objectives. Game controllers will monitor game flow and validate completion of objectives. This is an Airsoft event and not an actual true to 100 % detail reenactment of the real Urgent Fury.

TALON is a 300 acre field with a creek, small canyon, cedar and oak tree cover with hills. It’s located approximately 25 miles south of Abilene. This land is part of the WW II Army training base known then as Camp Barkley. It’s excellent Airsoft terrain. There are no structures on the property at this time. This will be a land battle. See you there!
